Edward A. Wright, 84, of Jensen Beach, FL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Morgan County, AL, he resided in Jensen Beach for the past 10 years, moving from Oak Ridge, TN.

A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, he was a graduate of Auburn University.

He was a licensed professional engineer and before retirement was an Auburn mechanical engineer for the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge for many years.

Mr. Wright was a member of the Friends of the Smokies, Auburn Alumni Association, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia W. Wright of Jensen Beach; daughter, Peggy Wright Haythorn of Chapel Hill, NC; two sons, William E. Wright of West Palm Beach, FL and Robert Wade Wright of Stuart, FL; sister, Mary Roberts of Decatur, AL; and four grandchildren.
